Columbia Corridor Corredores Race Series

                        Columbia Corridor Corredores Race Series*
A local race series named for where we live & what we do -
* Corredores means runners in Spanish

The Columbia Corridor Corredores Race Series is a combination of community events aimed to help local and regional runners and walkers improve their fitness by meeting together and challenging one another in various endurance activities throughout the year.

An equally important purpose of the Columbia Corridor Corredores Race Series is to provide local youth runners with opportunities to give back to the their communities by working at these events.  Proceeds from all CCC events go toward funding the Hermiston Cross Country Program (middle and high school, girls and boys).

The Hermiston Cross Country program has a rich history of success in both the state of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.  Over the same period that this race series has grown from one race to a series of five, the Hermiston Cross Country program (boys and girls combined) has won seven state team trophies (top four), including the school's first state team title in a fall sport.
Hermiston Girls Cross Country team were third at the 2012 Oregon 5A State Meet
Over this same period, nearly every graduating senior with varsity experience has been extended scholarship opportunities to continue their educations as student athletes at colleges throughout the country.
Hermiston Boys earned their fourth consecutive state team trophy in 2012 and placed three guys in the top five.
The events in the Columbia Corridor Corredores Race Series make it possible to continue to offer these enriching life experiences to student athletes as they prepare for a future of meaningful service in the community.
